About the role

As a Lead Solution Engineer at Kibo, you will be the technical backbone of our most complex Order Management and Commerce sales opportunities. You will partner with functional and technical stakeholders — from supply chain architects to C-suite executives — to design scalable OMS solutions, close communication gaps, and accelerate deals. You will bring deep expertise in order orchestration, fulfillment, inventory management, and omnichannel commerce to every engagement, while shaping the solution approach to meet both immediate requirements and long-term business goals.

What you'll do

  • Lead technical and business discovery sessions focused on order management, fulfillment operations, inventory visibility, and omnichannel workflows — translating complex supply chain requirements into clear, scalable solution designs
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of each prospect's current OMS landscape, including integrations to ERP, WMS, 3PL, POS, and carrier systems, to identify gaps and articulate Kibo's differentiated value
  • Design and present end-to-end OMS solution architectures — including order routing logic, inventory segmentation, fulfillment models (BOPIS, STS, ship-from-store, dropship), and returns workflows — tailored to each prospect's operational reality
  • Perform in-depth evaluations of technical and functional requirements for OMS opportunities, including migration paths from incumbent platforms such as Manhattan Associates, IBM Sterling, or Blue Yonder
  • Deliver compelling software demonstrations that bring Kibo's OMS capabilities to life against specific prospect pain points — routing rules, SLA management, store fulfillment, and customer service interfaces
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, Product Management, and Professional Services to align solution vision with platform capabilities and delivery feasibility
  • Provide thought leadership and industry expertise on modern OMS architecture, composable commerce, and the evolving role of order management in omnichannel retail strategy
  • Support eCommerce opportunities as needed, including cart, checkout, catalog, and B2B commerce scenarios where OMS and eComm capabilities intersect


What you'll need

  • 8+ years of experience in pre-sales of Order Management, Supply Chain, or eCommerce software solutions, with a proven track record in enterprise sales cycles
  • Deep functional knowledge of OMS capabilities — order orchestration, inventory management and segmentation, distributed order routing, fulfillment workflows (BOPIS, STS, ship-from-store, curbside, dropship), returns and exchanges, and customer service tooling
  • Hands-on experience with competitive OMS platforms (Manhattan Associates, IBM Sterling, Blue Yonder, Salesforce OMS, or similar) — either in a pre-sales, implementation, or consulting capacity
  • Strong understanding of enterprise commerce architecture — including OMS integrations to ERP, WMS, 3PL, POS, PIM, Tax, Payments, and carrier systems
  • Ability to lead technical architecture discussions, present integration diagrams, and showcase REST APIs in prospect-facing settings
  • Exceptional client-facing skills with the ability to build credibility with both business stakeholders (VP Operations, Supply Chain, IT) and technical audiences (architects, developers)
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills — comfortable in boardroom settings and technical deep-dives alike


Bonus

  • Experience migrating customers off legacy OMS platforms (Manhattan, Sterling, Blue Yonder)
  • Familiarity with composable/MACH architecture and microservices-based commerce platforms
  • eCommerce pre-sales experience spanning cart, checkout, catalog, B2B commerce, or subscriptions
  • Software engineering or solution architecture background with proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript
  • 10+ years of pre-sales experience in OMS, Supply Chain, or related enterprise software
