Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a Short Form Video Editor. You will edit 3-5 short form videos per week (15-20 per month) across Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and similar vertical platforms. The role involves working with raw footage, executing fast-paced edits with dynamic text overlays and sound design, and adapting editing styles to match brand voice and platform algorithms. You will collaborate directly with our content strategy team and handle 1-2 revision rounds per video based on client feedback.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional video editing experience with a focus on short form content (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style edits)
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
• Strong understanding of retention hooks, pacing, and platform-specific editing conventions
• Experience with sound design, motion graphics, and color correction
• Ability to deliver polished edits under tight deadlines
• Self-directed work style with strong communication and revision management skills
• Portfolio required: Must include 3-5 examples of short form vertical video work

Preferred:

• Experience editing for personal brands, coaches, or creator economy clients
• Familiarity with After Effects for motion graphics
• Understanding of YouTube/Instagram analytics and how edits impact performance metrics
