Shopify Developer

Role summary:
Owns the technical health and development of both Shopify stores — theme customization, speed, integrations, new sections and apps. Works hand-in-hand with the CRO specialist and designers to ship changes that improve conversion and site performance.

Key responsibilities:
• Customize and maintain Shopify themes (Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS) for both stores.
• Build new sections, landing pages, bundles, and product page modules.
• Optimize site speed and Core Web Vitals; fix bugs across devices.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Shopify apps and integrations (reviews, upsells, Klaviyo, etc.).
• Implement tracking/pixels correctly in partnership with the media buyer.
• Support CRO experiments and A/B tests technically.
• Manage checkout, shipping and payment configurations; mind technical SEO and page performance.
Must-have skills & experience
• 3+ years building on Shopify; strong Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (DOM).
• Portfolio of live Shopify stores they've built or customized.
• Solid understanding of site speed optimization and responsive design.
• Experience with the Shopify app ecosystem and common D2C integrations.
• Able to translate design files (Figma/Adobe) into pixel-accurate, fast pages.

Nice to have:
• Headless / Hydrogen and Storefront API experience.
• Shopify Plus, custom app development, or API work.
• Degree in CS/IT preferred (portfolio matters more); basic CRO/analytics knowledge.
