Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled Shopify Developer to manage, optimize, and innovate our Shopify store. You’ll own the end-to-end technical performance of Oyela’s online storefront — ensuring it looks beautiful, loads fast, and delivers an exceptional shopping experience.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores
• Build and manage Shopify sections, templates, and metafields for dynamic product experiences.
• Integrate third-party apps and APIs (inventory, CRM, analytics, etc.) and troubleshoot conflicts.
• Optimize store performance (page speed, mobile UX, SEO readiness, and accessibility).
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams to implement new features, landing pages, and campaigns.
• Manage theme updates, version control, and QA testing before deployments.
• Work with plugins like Boost AI Search, Shopify Flow, and Zoho Inventory integration.
• Identify automation opportunities to share data to BI team
• Create App for the brand

Qualifications and Skills: 

• 2+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience (Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript).
• Strong understanding of Shopify’s architecture, APIs, and metafields.
• Experience customizing Dawn or similar Online Store 2.0 themes.
• Familiarity with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, and webhooks.
• Experience with performance optimization and debugging tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with design, growth, and operations teams.
• Bonus: Experience with Shopify Plus, custom app development, or headless setups.
