POSITION SUMMARY


The ServiceNow Junior Developer will support development and configuration of ServiceNow with focus on the IT Service Management (ITSM) module. The candidate will take on simple enhancements and will develop and expand our Service Catalog.  The role will work closely with the senior developers to learn best practices and assist in troubleshooting efforts.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Configure and enhance the Service Catalog in ServiceNow. Build and maintain workflows, request forms and the overall structure of the Service Catalog.,

  • Enhance IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, and Knowledge Management.

  • Build and deploy simple Business rules, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, scheduled jobs, client scripts, import sets and transform maps. Ensuring consistent and repeatable development practices.

  • Troubleshoot issues, implement bug fixes and identify root cause analysis for issues. Follow and adhere to all IT Service Management (ITSM) processes.

  • Maintain and continuously improve understanding of the processes, standards, policies, working methods, and interfacing tools.

  • Identify areas for IT Service Management (ITSM) process improvement.

  • Document and test new features, enhancements, and defect fixes to ensure work is fully validated and accurate before promotion to Production.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE ·     



·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.


·       1+ years of development experience using Java Script.


·       1+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience (development, configuration, administration and or internship/project work)


Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts: Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, Knowledge Management.


TETECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS


·       1+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.


·       1+ years of development experience including JavaScript


·       Experience with ServiceNow scripting is a plus (Glide API, Script includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, etc)


·       Certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is required. Certified Application Developer (CAD) and ITSM Implementation Specialist certifications are desirable. Additional certifications are a plus.


·       Troubleshooting experience and root cause analysis capabilities.


·       Build custom applications, Request Items and workflows.


·       Experience with development and enhancement of ServiceNow integrations using Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)


·       Knowledge of ITIL framework is desirable.


SAFe Agile Framework experience is desirable.
