The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for working to develop, design and own technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform. The ServiceNow Developer will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support by using good practice web programming techniques to configure robust solutions to the client utilizing the ServiceNow platform. As such, the developer requires a strong knowledge of ServiceNow IT Service Management & ESM - Enterprise Service Management . Overseeing the implementation, integrations, testing, and documentation are a key part of the role. The successful candidate must demonstrate a high level of expertise with ServiceNow.


Experience:

β€’ 3+ years of experience working with ITSM solutions in an enterprise environment

β€’ 3+ years of ServiceNow developer experience/ development / implementation

β€’ Experience with creating ServiceNow modules, applications , catalog items and workflows

β€’ Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side JavaScript and the ServiceNow APIs Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system

β€’ System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP

β€’ Ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base

β€’ Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment, able to implement on time to a project schedule, and able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

β€’ Fundamental knowledge of networking including TCP/IP ports and firewalls, network protocols, and IP networks

β€’ Strong communication, Strong presentation and writing skills

β€’ Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members

β€’ Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM modules - Incident Management, Problem Management, Workspaces , Portal development, Knowledge Management , or other ITSM application.

β€’ Experience with extending the ServiceNow schema to custom applications

β€’ Exposure to ServiceNow platform capabilities and tools like Discovery and Orchestration and other applications

β€’ Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow

β€’ Create and manage scripts and workflow

β€’ Experience in one (or more) scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell)

β€’ Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)

β€’ A fundamental understanding of ITSM, ITIL or CMDB

β€’ Customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly

β€’ Custom UI Changes with usage of Web Technologies such as DOM, HTML changes.

β€’ Exposure to Identity Management and Single Sign on/Active Directory integrations

β€’ ServiceNow Clone & Version Upgrade experience

β€’ KB article development/enhancement experience

β€’ Certified ServiceNow Administrator , Certified ServiceNow Developer and Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist is advantage

β€’ Superior attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

β€’ Ability to understand complex business needs and adapt appropriately

β€’ Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies applicable to the ServiceNow platform

β€’ ITIL v3/v4 Certification or equivalent practical experience

β€’ Ability to provide ServiceNow customization and configuration including but not limited to scripting, workflow administration, report setup, module customization, data imports and third-part software integration

β€’ Conducts / participates in user inclusive story / requirement gathering sessions

β€’ Works from definition of interface to completed designs

β€’ Works with developers to assure design quality and functional capabilities realized
