Position Overview:

We are looking for ServiceNow Developers to join Chubb's Development Delivery squad, building and maintaining ServiceNow platform capabilities with coverage across NA business hours.

The ServiceNow Developer is accountable for hands-on development, configuration and delivery of ServiceNow capabilities within an agile squad. The role owns sprint delivery, code quality and backlog execution, working closely with the Dev Lead and wider squad to deliver against the platform roadmap.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test and deploy ServiceNow applications, workflows and integrations in line with sprint commitments and platform architecture standards.
  • Participate fully in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives), working closely with the Scrum Master and Dev Lead.
  • Maintain high code quality through peer review, adherence to coding standards, and use of CI/CD pipelines for deployment.
  • Support backlog refinement, providing technical input on effort estimation and feasibility of proposed work items.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Integration Hub and related tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve defects identified during development, testing or production use, working within agreed SLAs.
  • Provide development support and coverage aligned to NA business hours, either through local working hours (Colombia) or a shifted schedule (India).
  • Contribute to technical documentation for developed solutions, supporting knowledge continuity and audit requirements.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow platform releases and new capabilities, proposing improvements where relevant.


Qualifications:

  • 6 – 10 years of proven experience developing on the ServiceNow platform, including Flow Designer, Scripted REST APIs, Service Portal and/or Integration Hub.
  • The ServiceNow Developer should have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTMP, CSS, Glide API and ServiceNow scripting (client and server-side).
  • Experience working within an agile development squad, including sprint-based delivery and CI/CD practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.
  • Ability and willingness to work hours that overlap with NA business hours, as required by location.
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow data model, ACLs, security, and platform architecture
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification
  • Good communication skills, able to work effectively within a distributed, multi-location team.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
