Role Description
The Service Engineer – North & East Region will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, breakdown support, and after-sales service of crane systems, hoists, and related material handling equipment.
The role involves extensive fieldwork across North and East India, close coordination with customers, sales teams, and internal technical teams to ensure high equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Commissioning
Carry out installation and commissioning of crane systems, hoists, jib cranes, rail systems, and related equipment at customer sites.
Ensure installations are executed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, and safety norms.
Coordinate with customer teams, contractors, and internal engineering teams during project execution.
Service & Maintenance
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Attend breakdown calls and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues at site.
Diagnose faults, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Customer Support
Act as the first point of contact for customers in the North & East region for service-related matters.
Provide technical guidance and training to customers’ maintenance and operations teams.
Ensure timely closure of service calls and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and submit service reports, commissioning reports, and maintenance records.
Maintain service history and feedback for each customer and installed system.
Report recurring issues, improvement opportunities, and field observations to the engineering and product teams.
Coordination & Sales Support
Support the sales team during pre-sales and post-sales activities, including site surveys and technical discussions.
Assist in identifying service contracts, spares opportunities, and retrofit or upgrade requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams for spares planning and service scheduling.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, statutory regulations, and company service standards.
Promote safe working practices at customer sites and during service activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: ITI/Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
- Experience: 2–4 years of relevant experience in service, installation, or commissioning of industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of crane systems, lifting solutions, and industrial automation (preferred).
- Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of crane systems, hoists, jib cranes, rail systems, and material handling equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Hands-on troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and basic control systems.
Familiarity with installation tools, measuring instruments, and safety equipment.

Good communication and customer-handling skills.
Problem-solving and analytical thinking.
Ability to work independently in the field.
Willingness to travel extensively across North & East India.
Time management and reporting discipline.
