We at Coforge are hiring Service Delivery Head-Insurance with the following skillset:


Key Responsibilities:


1. Application Delivery Leadership

  • Own end-to-end delivery and performance of Guidewire platforms—Policy Center, Billing Center, Claims Center.
  • Govern application development, enhancements, production support, and system integration.
  • Establish predictable Agile/DevOps execution frameworks to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Ensure platform functional stability, scalability, and performance to meet business needs.

2. Multi-Portfolio IT Service Delivery Management

  • Oversee delivery of associated insurance applications (rating engines, portals, document mgmt., integrations).
  • Define and enforce SLAs, KPIs, OLAs for development, support, and operational services.
  • Govern incident, problem, and change management; reduce defects and MTTR.
  • Drive service reliability engineering (SRE) culture to enhance resiliency.

3. Transformation, Modernization & Cloud

  • Lead modernization and upgrade initiatives for Guidewire platforms.
  • Support migration to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GCP) where applicable.
  • Champion microservices/API modernization, digital integration, and ecosystem expansion.
  • Drive CI/CD automation, cloud adoption, and DevOps practices.

4. Stakeholder & Business Partnering

  • Act as senior engagement leader with global IT, product, and insurance operations executives.
  • Engage underwriting, claims, billing, and distribution leaders to align service delivery with business goals.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on delivery performance, risks, and outcomes.
  • Manage escalations with diplomatic yet firm resolution leadership.

5. Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with InfoSec, regulatory, data governance, business continuity standards.
  • Maintain audit readiness, drive risk remediation, and ensure documentation quality.
  • Govern vendor partnerships and manage offshore/nearshore partner models.

6. Continuous Improvement & Value Engineering

  • Drive value realization and cost optimization programs within application delivery services.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process streamlining, and productivity uplift.
  • Standardize delivery methodologies, engineering practices, and operating models.
  • Leverage analytics & data insights to improve platform performance and delivery predictability.

7. Strategic Planning & GCC Capability Scale-up

  • Contribute to multi-year roadmap for Guidewire application portfolio, upgrades, and transformation programs.
  • Drive demand planning, resource capacity management, workforce scaling, and skill evolution.
  • Partner with global leaders to identify additional workstreams for GCC expansion.
  • Build and strengthen GCC Center of Excellence (CoE).

8. People & Organizational Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Guidewire engineering & service delivery teams.
  • Drive talent strategy, skill development, and certification uplift (especially Guidewire + cloud).
  • Establish a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.


Qualifications:

  • 15 to 22 years of IT experience with minimum 6–8 years in platform delivery leadership.
  • Expertise in managing PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimsCenter implementation/support.
  • Demonstrated success leading global IT delivery in GCC or similar distributed models.
  • Strong background in ITIL/ITSM, Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Computer Science; MBA preferred.


Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud experience along with Guidewire/Duckcreek platforms strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with complementary ecosystem platforms (e.g., rating engines, CRM, DMS).
  • Experience in insurance domain preferred.
  • Familiarity with GCC operating models
  • Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience managing large technology/vendor partnerships.
