Service Advisor

Company Description: Vayalat Mahindra, operating as Vayalat Automobiles Pvt Ltd, is an authorized Mahindra dealership based on NH 47 Bypass Road in Kochi, Kerala, India.

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Service Advisor role based in Kochi. The Service Advisor will welcome customers, understand their service concerns, and translate those needs into clear job orders for the workshop team. The role involves explaining recommended services, providing accurate estimates, obtaining approvals, and coordinating vehicle check-in and delivery. The Service Advisor will monitor job progress, keep customers updated on timelines and costs, and ensure all work is completed to agreed standards. Daily responsibilities also include preparing service documentation, handling customer feedback or complaints, supporting after-sales initiatives, and maintaining a clean, professional service reception area.

Qualifications

• Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer-focused Service, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.
• Proven Customer Service skills, including handling inquiries, resolving concerns, and managing expectations professionally.
• Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to clearly explain technical information and service options.
• Understanding of after-sales processes, including service scheduling, follow-ups, and promoting recommended services or products.
• Prior experience in automotive service advising or a related customer-facing role is preferred.
• Basic technical understanding of automobiles to interpret customer concerns and liaise with technicians effectively.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and billing.
• Comfort using dealership management systems, spreadsheets, and standard office software.
• Diploma or degree in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor under pressure.
