JOB OPENING — Senior Storytelling Video Editor

Company: Black Pepper Media Role Type: Full-time, In-House Contract Duration: 1 year (extendable based on performance) Location: Chandigarh (on-site, Mon–Sat) Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (based on portfolio and experience) Joining: Immediate / within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Edit cinematic Instagram reels (15–90 seconds) with narrative pacing and emotional structure
• Edit long-form YouTube videos (5–15 minutes), talking head + B-roll
• Color grade all deliverables to maintain a consistent premium cinematic look
• Edit patient transformation and brand story films
• Edit founder and surgeon authority videos
• Organize and manage raw footage, project files, exports, and backups
• Work from written briefs and creative direction provided by the founder
• Execute revision rounds based on internal and client feedback
• Deliver projects within agreed deadlines
• Maintain consistent visual and tonal quality across all client work
• Coordinate with the team on shoot days for footage review and feedback

Required Experience & Skills

• 2–4 years professional video editing experience
• Proficient in DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere Pro
• Strong color grading skills
• Cinematic, narrative-driven editing style
• Portfolio demonstrating emotional storytelling (brand films, documentary, ads, fashion, or premium content)
• English communication sufficient to read briefs and respond to written feedback
• Punctual, professional, and reliable

Not Suitable For

• CapCut or template-based editors
• Wedding videographers / editors
• Trend-driven or beat-sync style editors
• Vlog, gaming, or YouTube influencer editors

Contract Terms

• Duration: 1-year fixed-term contract from date of joining
• Probation: First 60 days; either party may terminate with 7 days' written notice
• Post-probation Notice Period: 60 days from either side
• Confidentiality: Signed NDA covering client identities, project files, internal systems, and pricing
• Non-solicitation: No direct work with company clients during contract and for 12 months after
• Equipment: Workstation provided by company
• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Sunday off)
• Leave: 12 days paid leave per year + national holidays
• Salary Review: After 6 months, based on performance review
