We are currently looking for a Senior Consultant – Playwright Automation to join our Melbourne-based consulting team and work across large-scale enterprise transformation programs.

The Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling modern automation frameworks using Playwright within complex enterprise environments. You will work closely with engineering, product, and delivery teams to drive quality across both UI and API layers while mentoring other engineers and influencing automation best practices.

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite in Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright
• Design and execute automated UI and API test suites
• Work closely with developers, BAs, and product teams in Agile environments
• Drive quality engineering best practices across the SDLC
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Perform root cause analysis and support defect resolution
• Mentor junior and mid-level automation engineers
• Contribute to test strategy, planning, and delivery reporting

What We’re Looking For

• Strong commercial experience with Playwright
• Hands-on experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with API testing tools and frameworks
• Strong understanding of modern Quality Engineering practices
• Experience working within Agile delivery teams
• CI/CD pipeline exposure (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
• Experience working across enterprise-scale programs

Nice to Have

• Experience within retail, logistics, or enterprise consulting environments
• Exposure to BrowserStack, Docker, or cloud-native platforms
• Previous consulting or client-facing experience
