Senior Test Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks for enterprise-grade web applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium (Java/C#) or Playwright, along with extensive experience in both UI and API test automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for large-scale web applications.
• Develop automated test scripts using Selenium (Java/C#) or Playwright.
• Build and execute UI and API automation test suites.
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to define automation strategies.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements to identify automation opportunities.
• Perform regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end automation testing.
• Review automation code and enforce coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and improve framework stability.
• Mentor junior automation engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
• Continuously improve automation coverage, execution time, and reporting.

Required Skills

Must Have

• 10+ years of experience in Software Testing and Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium with Java or C#, or Playwright.
• Hands-on experience in UI Automation.
• Strong experience in API Automation using tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, Postman, or similar.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with Maven/Gradle or equivalent build tools.
• Hands-on experience with Git and version control systems.
• Experience integrating automation into Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD platforms.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with SQL databases and writing database validation queries.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with performance testing tools.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Exposure to security testing practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant automation certifications are an added advantage.
