As we continue to expand our managed services capabilities, we are looking for experienced professionals who can own and operate critical infrastructure across systems and networks. 

Position Overview 

We are looking for a Senior Systems & Network Administrator who can manage and maintain both internal and client environments across servers, networks, and cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role requiring strong depth across systems and networking, with a focus on stability, performance, and reliability. 

This role involves working across multiple client environments, ensuring infrastructure is properly configured, available, and optimized. While you will work closely with cybersecurity and SOC teams, you will not be responsible for deploying or owning security products—your role will be to ensure the underlying infrastructure supports secure and efficient operations. 

You’ll be part of a lean, high-impact technical team responsible for keeping environments running reliably while continuously improving performance and scalability. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Systems Administration 

• Manage and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments 
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure AD / Entra ID, and identity lifecycle management 
• Handle user provisioning, access controls, and group policies 
• Oversee patching, system updates, and endpoint/server health 
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V / ProxMox) 
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions 

2. Azure Administration 

• Deploy and manage Azure Virtual Machines, availability sets, scale sets, and managed disks across client and internal environments 
• Administer Azure Active Directory / Entra ID: Conditional Access policies, MFA enforcement, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and SSPR 
• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and RBAC role assignments; enforce least-privilege access across tenants 
• Configure and maintain Azure networking: Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, and VPN/ExpressRoute Gateway 
• Implement and maintain Azure Monitor, Log Analytics workspaces, diagnostic settings, and alerting rules for infrastructure visibility 
• Manage Azure Storage accounts, blob storage, file shares, and data lifecycle policies 
• Deploy and maintain Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery (ASR) for disaster recovery and business continuity 
• Apply and enforce Azure Policy, Management Groups, and governance frameworks to maintain compliance and configuration standards 
• Monitor and optimize Azure cost management, resource tagging, budgets, and consumption reporting 

3. Network Administration 

• Configure and manage firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless networks 
• Maintain LAN/WAN and VPN environments (site-to-site and client VPNs) 
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity and latency issues, and implement VLANs and network segmentation 
• Ensure secure, documented, and optimized network configurations across client environments 

4. Infrastructure Support for Security 

• Support the deployment environments required for security tools (network readiness, system compatibility, access configurations) 
• Work alongside SOC and security teams during implementations and investigations 
• Ensure systems are properly patched, hardened, and logging is enabled 
• Assist in troubleshooting issues impacting security tool performance (without owning the tools themselves) 

5. Automation & Optimization 

• Automate administrative and operational tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python 
• Improve infrastructure efficiency and reduce manual overhead 
• Contribute to standardization and documentation of environments 

6. Client & Internal Collaboration 

• Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure issues 
• Work closely with cloud, security, and engineering teams 
• Document configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides 
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders 

Qualifications 

1. Required 

• 5–8+ years of experience in systems and network administration 
• CompTIA A+ certification (minimum) OR higher-level certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco) 
• Strong experience with: 
• Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy 
• Microsoft 365 and Azure / Entra ID 
• Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing) 
• Hands-on experience with firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, or similar) 
• Experience managing VPNs and secure remote access solutions 
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies 
• Scripting experience (PowerShell preferred; Python/Bash is a plus) 
• Strong communication and documentation skills 
• Ability to manage multiple environments and priorities 

2. Preferred

• Experience working in MSP or multi-client environments 
• Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP is a plus) 
• Familiarity with tools like CrowdStrike, Cisco Umbrella, or Wazuh (from an infrastructure/support perspective) 
• Knowledge of security best practices (CIS benchmarks, basic hardening) 
• Certifications such as: 
• Microsoft (AZ-104, MS-102) 
• Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) 
• CompTIA (Network+, Security+)
