About the Role

AppXcess Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer / Senior System Administrator (L3) to manage and support enterprise-grade hybrid IT infrastructure. This role involves end-to-end ownership of on-premises and cloud environments, Level 3 escalation support, infrastructure optimization, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure system stability, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support hybrid environments integrating on-prem Active Directory with Microsoft 365 and Azure AD

• Manage Windows Server infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and File Services

• Deploy, manage, and optimize Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (VDI) and Citrix NetScaler Gateway (ADC)

• Configure and maintain Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments

• Manage Exchange Online and support hybrid Exchange migrations

• Administer Microsoft Azure resources including Virtual Machines, Backup, Site Recovery, and Network Security Groups

• Manage VMware ESXi, vCenter, and Hyper-V virtualization platforms

• Implement and maintain Veeam Backup and Replication, disaster recovery strategies, and restore testing

• Perform on-premises to cloud migrations for servers, file systems, and email platforms

• Ensure patch management, endpoint security, and compliance best practices

• Provide Level 3 escalation support, root cause analysis, and detailed technical documentation

• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams on upgrades and optimizations

Required Skills

• Windows Server Administration (2012, 2016, 2019)

• Active Directory, Azure AD, Group Policy

• Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune)

• Citrix NetScaler Gateway and Virtual Apps and Desktops

• VMware ESXi, vCenter, Hyper-V

• Veeam Backup and Replication

• Microsoft Azure infrastructure

• Networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP

• Patch management and endpoint security

Preferred Certifications

• MCSE or MCSA

• MS-203 (Messaging Administrator)

• Citrix CCA

• CCNA
