Senior SW Engineer (Java Developer-API)

Job Description

Overview The candidate will join the JA Product Development department to as part of a new Development team currently being set-up in India which will follow agile methodologies to evolve and maintain the assigned portion of the JA core software product . This team will be supporting the existing team in US in the evolution and maintenance of the JA API module of the JA core framework which is interconnected to the JAGGAER One Catalyze component to allow internal and external product data interexchange. This is support ing both push (event based) and pull data interexchange and all the UI areas needed to configure, monitor and troubleshooting the customer specific communications . The candidate should be collaborative in the product evolution design which should be compliant with the JAGGAER SaaS architecture , and autonomous i n developing the software evolutions. Coaching of more junior team members is also important to make team performance more consistent and progressively improving . Candidate should have a strong experience in Software Design and D evelopment of complex REST/SOAP Web Services Applications written in J ava and using a relational database as a persistent data repository . Preferrable experience in a SaaS and Multi-tenant application context. Principal Responsibilities Design, Code and unit test ing , of new JA core functionality according to specifications and aligned with the JAGGAER One architecture and best practices . The design should support a scalable (in terms of volumes) and SaaS multitenant environment with all security requirements ( eg OWASP). Support Customer Support in trouble shooting (3 rd level) of production issues in the area of own responsibility and possible develop and test bugfixes when required . Build up expert knowledge in various JA modules and software components as well as in the development process e supporting technologies. Coach more junior team members to make them becoming more autonomous and reliable in their development activities Position Requirements More than 7 years of experience with Java application development with at least 3 years of development of REST/SOAP A PI services for complex enterprise applications. Preferrable in a SaaS multitenant context. Good e xperience with agile methodologies and on usage of JIRA and GitHub for Development activities management . Strong communication , analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills are essential. C od ing respecting JAGGAER product best practice s is highly important in order to respect security standards and made code maintenance easier . Good command of International English (written and spoken) to be able to understood by non English mother tongue colleagues , for example Product Owners. Autonomous, eager to learn, willing to share knowledge and able to adapt to new processes and workflows Experience with Enterprise SaaS and Multitenant applications, desirable
