Senior AWS Solutions Architect

Location: Remote (UK) with occasional client site visits (1–2x per month)

Salary: £85,000 – £100,000 per annum

Our client, one of the UK's fastest growing AWS Premier Partners, is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to join their expanding cloud consultancy practice.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Cloud Engineering, they're looking for a Senior Solutions Architect to take ownership of complex cloud transformation engagements, from initial discovery through to handing a fully designed architecture to the delivery team. You will also play a key role in helping customers adopt AI and GenAI capabilities on AWS, ensuring solutions are implemented securely and with clear business value.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultancy-background architect who thrives managing multiple engagements simultaneously and can operate with a high degree of autonomy.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead AWS MAP engagements end-to-end — Assess, Mobilise, and Migrate & Modernise
• Run discovery workshops, gather requirements, and design target-state cloud architectures aligned to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Advise on AI and GenAI solutions on AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker) with a focus on real business outcomes
• Produce architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical roadmaps for for handover to DevOps and delivery teams
• Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, using your own initiative to drive them forward
• Mentor engineers and acting as a technical authority across pre-sales and delivery

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Consultancy background with experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements
• Hands-on AWS MAP programme experience
• Strong cloud-native architecture skills — networking, IAM, compute, storage, and IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Experience with security architecture and governance in AWS
• Familiarity with AI and GenAI services and patterns on AWS
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (minimum); Professional level highly desirable
