Job Title: Senior Software Engineer ? Data Platform Location: Pune, India Work Mode: Hybrid Experience: 4?8 years Company: Zywave About the Role Zywave is looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer (Data Platform) to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines, develop transformation logic, and enable reliable data flow across our global products and analytics platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering, product, and cloud teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready data solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure data pipelines and transformation workflows. Work with Snowflake, DBT, Python, and SQL to build robust data models and reusable components. Implement version control, branching, and CI/CD best practices using Git. Optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior engineers when required. Troubleshoot data quality issues, pipeline failures, and performance bottlenecks. Contribute to improving data governance, documentation, and engineering standards. Must-Have Skills Strong experience in Snowflake (data warehousing, Snowflake SQL, performance tuning) Hands-on expertise with DBT (Data Build Tool) Solid programming skills in Python Advanced proficiency in SQL (query optimization, data modeling) Experience with Git and version-control workflows Background in building and maintaining data pipelines in production environments Nice-to-Have Skills Azure Data Factory ETL tools and pipeline orchestration frameworks AWS Glue Experience with BI tools: Tableau, Power BI Understanding of Prompt Engineering / AI-assisted workflows Education Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred) Why Join Zywave?
