Job Title: Senior Software Engineer - Testing Job ID: POS-15605 Primary Skill: Guidewire Location: Hyderabad Experience: 5.00 Primary Skills: Guidewire PolicyCenter Rating QA Experience: 5+ Years About The Job As a PolicyCenter Rating Tester, you will own the test strategy and stabilization efforts for Guidewire PolicyCenter rating initiatives. You?ll design and execute comprehensive test plans and regression suites focused on rate revisions, rating algorithms and worksheets, ensuring releases meet quality and performance expectations. Working closely with project managers, BAs, scrum teams and stakeholders, you?ll drive defect management, prioritize critical issues, and provide clear status and quality metrics to leadership. You will also mentor and coach junior testers, promote testing best practices (including automation where applicable), and continuously improve test processes to support fast, reliable delivery across Personal and Commercial lines. Your deep domain knowledge of PolicyCenter rate testing (VBA preferred) and P&C insurance will be critical to stabilizing releases and enabling successful production deployments. Responsibilities Test Strategy Development- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for Policy Center Rating and Stabilization ensuring all aspects are covered effectively. Stakeholder Collaboration- Coordinate with Project manager, Business Analyst, Scrum Team, and other Stakeholder to understand the project requirements. Regression Testing- Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that existing functionalities are unaffected by recent changes and updates in policy rate revisions. Test Case Creation- Prepare stabilization test scenarios, test cases, and actively participate in the test execution process. Defect management- Manage the defect tracking and resolution process, including prioritization and escalation of critical issues to relevant teams. Progress Reporting- Provides regular status reports on testing progress, Defect status and overall quality metrics to ensure timely project delivery. Industry Awareness- stay updated with industry best practices, emerging trends and innovative technologies related to Guidewire testing to ensure continuous improvement. Mentorship- Mentor junior testers by offering guidance on best practices in testing and quality assurance, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and skill enhancement. Requirements Proficiency in creating Comprehensive Test Strategy document and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts in align with project goals and requirements. 5+ years of total experience in Property and Casualty Insurance domain with Guidewire Policy Center (Rate Testing is a must and VBA Preferred) . Experience in Handling Rate revisions, rate algorithm and rating worksheet in Policy Center. Experience with agile development methodologies and Agile/Scrum practices. Any relevant certifications are highly valued. Experience with Insurance Domain with respect to Guidewire Personal and Commercial lines Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and an aptitude for project ownership. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in automation testing methodologies and tools. Experience with Guidewire Policy flow. Experience with JIRA is desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Need to be excellent team player.
