Senior Software Engineer - Backend Engineering

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Develop, customize, and maintain web applications using PHP, Laravel, and WordPress. Create and manage custom WordPress themes and plugins. Build and optimize RESTful APIs for integrations. Write clean, secure, and reusable code following industry best practices. Troubleshoot, test, and maintain core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality web solutions. Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices. Manage database structures, queries, and migrations (MySQL/MariaDB). Ensure websites and applications are secure and scalable. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in PHP (7.x/8.x). Hands-on experience with Laravel framework (middleware, queues, migrations, blade templates). Experience with headless WordPress or REST API/GraphQL. Strong working knowledge of WordPress (theme customization, plugin development, hooks, filters, ACF, WooCommerce). Solid understanding of MySQL, database design, and query optimization. Familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Tailwind. Understanding of OOP, MVC architecture, and design patterns. Experience with Git/GitHub or GitLab for version control. Ability to integrate third-party APIs and services. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills. Education & Experience Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent (preferred). 2?5 years of professional experience in PHP, WordPress, and Laravel development (adjust based on level).
