Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer- Backend III

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)

Pay Range: $60-$68

Length: 6 Months

Overview

Job Description

This role supports the modernization of an ATM channel—encompassing both hardware and software—while also contributing to a major debit card modernization initiative. It offers the opportunity to participate in one of the largest IT transformation efforts in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full lifecycle application development
  • Design, code, and debug applications across multiple software languages
  • Perform software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, and software reviews
  • Identify code metrics and conduct system risk and software reliability analyses
  • Apply Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD) principles
  • Design and implement Java Spring applications using OpenShift
  • Conduct software modeling and simulation
  • Develop back-end architecture, design, and implementation
  • Perform software testing and quality assurance
  • Conduct performance tuning, optimization, balancing, usability improvements, and automation
  • Support, maintain, and document software functionality
  • Integrate software with existing systems
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies for implementation
  • Ensure compliance with established standards
  • Manage code repositories and collaborate through GitHub
  • Implement software localization or globalization
  • Hold an undergraduate degree in computer engineering, computer science, information technology, or a related field

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply new programming languages
  • Proficiency in Java, Java Spring, OpenShift, HTML, CSS, and scripting
  • Ability to design and develop Splunk and Dynatrace dashboards for monitoring and alerting
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and external partners

Nice to Have

  • Experience with test automation tools
  • Knowledge of ATM terminal driving and testing
  • Experience with ATM software such as:
    • Diebold (Vista, VCP7, TM, Vynamic Vision, Vynamic View)
    • NCR (Vision)
  • Natural leadership qualities and a collaborative mindset
  • Comfort working onsite with teams to support modernization efforts, enhance engineering processes, and strengthen communication
