Job Description
Job Purpose
Provides advanced technical security support and operational security expertise for enterprise systems, applications, and infrastructure. This role focuses on protecting systems, detecting and responding to threats, and ensuring compliance with security standards, while supporting both employees and customers in a secure and controlled manner. The position operates with a high degree of independence and plays a key role in security operations, incident response, risk reduction, and continuous security improvement across the organization.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM IST to provide healthy overlap between India team and US team and supporting both to ensure adequate collaboration. This role will be working in Hybrid Mode and will require at least 2 days’ work from office at Hyderabad. Occasional evening and weekend work may be expected in case of job-related emergencies or client needs.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
The position operates under limited supervision with a great deal of independence in daily tasks.
- Take a Leading Cendyn's Cyber security program
- Act as a primary point of contact for security-related incidents, alerts, and escalations (Tier 2/3).
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, incidents, and vulnerabilities to minimize business impact.
- Enhance Support and enhance security monitoring and detection capabilities (e.g., SIEM, EDR, log analysis).
- Conduct root cause analysis and consult on corrective and preventive security measures.
- Manage Cendyns Security Testing Program (incl. Vulnerability Management, Penetration Testing, CSPM, DAST, and more)
- Contribute to incident response processes, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Deliver awareness trainings to all employees regarding Security, Risk, Compliance and Privacy.
- Act as a security advisor and consultant to internal teams, promoting secure practices.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure secure operations and alignment.
- Able to execute tasks such as:
- Support and maintain compliance with security frameworks and standards(e.g., PCI-DSS, SOC 2).
Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT and/or Cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Security Operations.
- Hands-on experience with:
- SIEM platforms and log analysis
- Threat Protection
- Vulnerability management tools
- Leading and successfully finishing security projects
- Well known security tooling (e.g.,BurpSuite,Nmap, Metasploit,OSINT
- AI-AIconcepts, AI projects, Security for AI, AI for Security)
- Conceptual understanding of:
- Public/PrivateCloudand networkconcepts
- Security requirements defined by industry standards (e.g., OWASP, ISO27001)
- Strong ability to analyze, prioritize, and respond to security events and risks.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Related certifications
