Speciality Chemicals: The Specialty Chemical business of Jubilant Ingrevia manufactures Pyridine, Picolines and its forward integration derivatives, which finds application in agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, dyes, solvents, metal finishes, fine chemicals, semiconductors etc.

We have also launched new platform of Diketene & its value-added derivatives for multiple industry use. We are an established ‘partner of choice’ in CDMO, with more investment plans in GMP & Non-GMP multi-product facilities for Pharma, Agro and Semi-conductor customers.

Chemical Intermediates: The Chemical Intermediates business has acetic anhydride and value added anhydrides and aldehydes catering to various industries.

Nutrition & Health Solutions: The Nutrition & Heath Solutions business unit offers B3 & Picolinates (Chromium & Zinc) which are fully backward integrated. Our ingredients find application in animal nutrition, human nutrition, personal care, etc. We provide high-quality feed & food additives having application in poultry, dairy, aqua & pet food industry. In Human Nutrition & Health Solutions, we offer food ingredients & premix solutions to nutrition.

The Position

Organization : - Jubilant Ingrevia Limited

Designation & Level: - Senior Research Scientist- Semi-Con.

Location : - Corporate Greater Noida

Reporting Manager: - Group Leader-CDMO

• Molecule Development:
• Develop Electronic Grade products under strict contamination manner.
• Utilize knowledge of multi-step synthesis and exposure to electronic industry.
• Adhere to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) for sample preparation, impurity isolation, and characterization.
• Research and Optimization:
• Conduct literature searches and route scouting for process development.
• Develop processes at gram scale, scale up, and support plant for commercialization.
• Prepare technology packages and synthesize impurities for isolation.
• Perform studies on material of construction (MOC), effluent minimization, catalyst and solvent recyclability, and economization.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, mass balance, and equipment specifications for scale-up .

Chemical Synthesis:

• Synthesize specialty as well as Electronic Grade chemicals and heterocyclic compounds.
• Demonstrate a good understanding of industrial feasibility, multi-step synthesis, electronic chemistry, impurity characterization, and data interpretation.

Technical Expertise:

• Exposure to pressure reactions, innovative to handle product development at R&D followed with piloting and commissioning.
• Perform halogenation reactions such as chlorination, fluorination, Halex reaction, and bromination.
• Handle complex chemistries including Grignard, lithiation, cyclization, condensation, elimination, and reduction.
• Develop vapor phase and continuous processes.
• Safety & Compliance
• Maintain compliance with safety, ELN documentation etc.
  
  
  

The Person

Qualifications & Experience:

• PhD / MSc organic chemistry
• 7+ Years of Industrial Experience
• Hands on experience in process development, synthesis and lab scale up.
