iKure is looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Research Analyst to strengthen its research function and help build it as a centre of excellence for implementation research, impact evaluation, evidence generation, and global thought leadership.

The role is suited for someone who can combine strong research skills with practical program understanding, data interpretation, proposal writing, and high-quality documentation. The candidate should be comfortable working across public health, primary healthcare, digital health, community health, and impact-driven programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation research, operational research, and public health research across iKure’s programs.
  • Design research methodologies, study protocols, sampling strategies, data collection tools, and analytical frameworks.
  • Lead impact measurement, outcome evaluation, and monitoring & evaluation frameworks to demonstrate program effectiveness and health outcomes.
  • Analyse healthcare, operational, and program data to generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Develop high-quality research proposals, concept notes, grant applications, donor reports, and technical documents for national and international funding opportunities.
  • Identify and scout relevant research collaborations, funding opportunities, grants, and strategic partnerships with universities, global agencies, foundations, and research organisations.
  • Lead the development of peer-reviewed journal articles, policy briefs, white papers, case studies, conference abstracts, and technical reports.
  • Strengthen iKure’s thought leadership by converting field learnings and program evidence into publishable and presentable knowledge products.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences, workshops, partner meetings, and stakeholder forums.
  • Build and manage collaborations with academic institutions, public health organisations, research partners, and global agencies.
  • Develop dashboards, research summaries, insight notes, and dissemination materials for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior researchers, analysts, and research interns while ensuring scientific rigor, quality, and timely delivery of outputs.
  • Work closely with Program, Medical, Technology, Business Development, and Leadership teams to ensure research informs implementation, innovation, partnerships, and organisational growth.

What We Are Looking For

  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in public health research, implementation research, monitoring & evaluation, impact evaluation, health systems research, or development sector research.
  • Strong understanding of research design, quantitative and qualitative methods, sampling, survey tools, data analysis, and report writing.
  • Experience in healthcare, primary care, digital health, community health, NCDs, maternal and child health, or health systems strengthening will be preferred.
  • Ability to analyse program data and translate findings into clear insights, recommendations, and decision-support documents.
  • Strong writing skills, with experience in research proposals, reports, manuscripts, policy briefs, case studies, or donor-facing documents.
  • Experience in preparing grant applications or funding proposals will be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of M&E frameworks, indicators, outcome measurement, and impact assessment.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple research priorities.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving, mission-driven organisation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Health Management, or a related discipline.
  • PhD or advanced research training will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SPSS, STATA, R, Python, Power BI, Kobo, ODK, or similar platforms will be preferred.
  • Prior experience with peer-reviewed publications, conference submissions, or donor-funded research projects will be an advantage.
