About the Role

American Express is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong Java background and hands-on expertise in the Karate Framework for API automation. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute automated testing solutions for enterprise-scale microservices and REST APIs while collaborating with Agile development teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop API automation using Karate Framework
• Build automation scripts using Java
• Validate REST APIs and Microservices
• Develop regression and smoke automation suites
• Integrate tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Validate backend data using SQL
• Work with JSON and XML payloads
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and QA teams
• Maintain automation frameworks and improve test coverage
