Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Selenium, and Katalon Studio to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring software quality through automation, collaborate directly with clients and cross-functional teams, and drive quality initiatives across Agile delivery programs.

The candidate should possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, and practical knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Exposure to AI/ML-based testing and intelligent automation will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Automation Testing
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on automation experience
• Proven experience working in client-facing roles
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments

Required Technical Skills

Test Automation

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
• Extensive experience with Katalon Studio
• Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks
• Functional, Regression, Smoke, Integration, and End-to-End Testing
• API Testing (Postman/REST APIs preferred)

Tools & Platforms

• JIRA for defect and sprint management
• Confluence for documentation and knowledge sharing
• Git/GitHub/GitLab
• Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines
• Test Management and Reporting tools

Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Engineering & Automation

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python, Selenium, and Katalon.
• Create reusable automation scripts for web, API, and integration testing scenarios.
• Identify automation opportunities and drive automation-first quality engineering practices.
• Perform root cause analysis of defects and ensure timely resolution.

Client Engagement

• Act as the primary QA representative during client discussions, demos, and quality reviews.
• Gather and understand business requirements from client stakeholders and translate them into test scenarios.
• Provide quality metrics, test status, and risk assessments to clients and project leadership.
• Build trust with client teams through proactive communication and quality-focused delivery.

Agile Delivery Support

• Participate in Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Review user stories and acceptance criteria for testability and completeness.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and DevOps teams.
• Support continuous integration and continuous testing practices within Agile teams.

Test Management & Governance

• Create test strategies, test plans, and execution reports.
• Manage defects through JIRA and maintain QA documentation in Confluence.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.
• Drive quality gates and release readiness assessments.

Leadership & Mentoring

• Mentor junior QA engineers and automation testers.
• Promote QA best practices, coding standards, and automation frameworks.
• Contribute to process improvements and testing innovation initiatives.
• Support estimation, resource planning, and delivery commitments.

AI/ML & Innovation (Preferred)

• Explore AI-driven test case generation and intelligent defect prediction techniques.
• Evaluate emerging AI testing tools and frameworks to improve productivity.
• Contribute to organization-wide quality engineering transformation initiatives.
