Senior QA Engineer / Quality Architect

Job Summary 

We are looking for a QA professional who can operate effectively in today’s software testing environment while evolving into a modern, AI-augmented quality engineering role.

Initially, the role is hands-on and focused on manual and automated testing across web, API, backend, and mobile systems. Over time, the position will evolve toward strategic quality ownership, release confidence, risk assessment, exploratory testing, and system-level quality engineering.

This role will support a series A funded fintech client based in the US and is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands-on testing and higher-level quality thinking.

Responsibilities

Current Focus (Hands-On QA)

• Design and execute manual and automated test cases 
• Perform regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing 
• Identify defects, edge cases, and usability issues 
• Collaborate with developers on automation coverage 
• Review requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria 
• Support stable and reliable product releases 

Future Evolution (Strategic Quality Engineering)

• Drive quality strategy and release risk assessment 
• Perform exploratory and system-level testing 
• Improve test architecture and CI/CD quality processes 
• Evaluate automation effectiveness and testing coverage 
• Support AI-assisted testing workflows and modern QA practices 
• Contribute to performance, reliability, scalability, and security validation 

Requirements 

• Strong understanding of QA methodologies and testing principles 
• Experience testing modern web applications and APIs 
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing 
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest, or similar tools 
• Ability to think critically about edge cases and product risk
• Strong communication and collaboration skills 
• Professional-level English 

Nice to Have

• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity) 
• SQL and database validation skills 
• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript applications 
• Exposure to performance or security testing 
• Prior experience with fintech applications
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and testing workflows
