Senior QA Engineer (.NET, C#, Automation) – 4–5 Years Experience

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Software QA Engineer to lead the planning, design, and execution of testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, validate product quality against requirements, and mentor junior QA engineers while driving best practices in testing and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop test plans, test cases, scenarios, and scripts
• Execute manual and automated testing to ensure product quality and functionality
• Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking systems
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to resolve issues
• Participate in product design reviews and provide input on requirements and potential risks
• Conduct compatibility testing across systems, environments, and platforms
• Monitor bug resolution and ensure timely closure
• Maintain documentation for test procedures and defect databases
• Set up and manage test environments, including production-like scenarios
• Analyze system performance and ensure smooth, error-free operation
• Provide usability and functionality feedback to development teams
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft testing tools and environments
• Strong experience in testing Microsoft-centric applications (.NET framework, C#, SQL Server)
• Proficiency in tools like Visual Studio and Test Manager
• Experience with Agile/Kanban development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
• Strong understanding of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• 4–5 years of QA experience with automation tools and frameworks
• Experience with large enterprise or e-business systems
• Experience in performance and security testing
• Ability to create detailed and structured test plans from requirements
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
• Creative and critical thinking approach to identifying defects
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
