Senior QA Engineer (m/f/d)

We are currently partnering with an innovative international SaaS organisation operating at the intersection of advanced software engineering, AI, and life sciences in the search for a Senior QA Engineer. This is a high-impact opportunity to help shape quality standards, testing strategies, and release reliability within a modern engineering environment focused on building scalable and technically sophisticated software products.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and maintain structured test plans and test cases for core platform functionality and workflows
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across a modern SaaS platform
• Validate end-to-end user journeys with a strong focus on reliability, usability, and consistency
• Develop and maintain automated tests for critical workflows, APIs, and regression coverage
• Support the integration of automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release confidence and delivery efficiency
• Test APIs, integrations, and backend workflows to ensure stable and reliable system behaviour
• Verify data consistency, workflow accuracy, and interactions across platform components
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to identify root causes of defects and improve product quality
• Help define and improve QA processes, testing standards, and release readiness criteria
• Contribute to performance, reliability, and security-focused testing initiatives where relevant
• Clearly document defects, findings, test cases, and recommendations to support transparency and continuous improvement

Your Profile

• 6+ years of experience in software quality assurance within modern web applications or SaaS environments
• Strong hands-on experience with functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing methodologies
• Experience with test automation for UI and/or API testing
• Solid understanding of API, integration, and end-to-end workflow testing
• Familiarity with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Good understanding of defect management, release validation, and QA best practices
• Programming or scripting experience in Python and/or JavaScript for testing and automation purposes
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify edge cases and quality risks
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
• Nice to have: experience with tools such as PyTest, Cypress, Selenium, Postman, SQL, performance testing, or cloud-based environments
