Senior QA Engineer

In a platform where every bet is mirrored on-chain, and every win must be mathematically respected, "good enough" testing doesn't exist. We need a technical QA Engineer to validate our high-velocity event-driven architecture and ensure complex transaction logic is flawless. You will build automated guardrails that enable us to ship quickly without compromising the transparent nature of our platform.

• Architect E2E Testing Framework: Lead the selection and implementation of our first end-to-end testing framework (like Playwright). You will integrate these automated guardrails into our SST and AWS infrastructure to bake testability and observability into every deployment.
• Ensure Data Integrity: Validate that every payout, bet, and wallet interaction remains consistent as it flows from legacy systems to the on-chain mirror. You will verify the mathematical accuracy of transaction history and game results across the entire pipeline.
• Validate Async And High-Concurrency Workflows: Build tests for our event-driven architecture to ensure queues and workers handle partial failures and race conditions correctly. You will manage complex scenarios, like transaction rollbacks and data reconciliation between off-chain and on-chain states.
• Navigate Production Realities: Investigate issues in environments where traditional tools are limited. Since we operate on-chain, you cannot simply mock balances or fake money to test logic in staging or prod. You will develop strategies to validate our systems under real-world constraints where every transaction is permanent and verifiable.
• Push the Team Forward: Work directly with engineers to define "definition of done," ensuring observability and testability are baked into the code from day one.

• Automation-First: You believe manual testing is a last resort. You are comfortable writing TypeScript to build robust, maintainable testing frameworks.
• Technically Curious: You want to know how the EventBridge bus handles traffic and how the PostgreSQL index is performing, not just if the UI button is the right color.
• Casino/Web3 Alignment: You have experience in the casino industry and are familiar with Web3 and smart contracts. You are excited to address the unique testing challenges of on-chain data.
• Detail-Oriented & Pragmatic: You have a "break it" mentality for edge cases but understand the need to ship and iterate in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Startup-Ready: You thrive in ambiguity and move fast, but you never sacrifice the accuracy required for financial and gaming systems.
