Senior QA Automation Engineer

2. About the Opportunity: The Senior QA Automation Engineer role is central to leading the transition to an AI-augmented quality assurance process within an agile product and engineering team. This position is responsible for owning quality assurance end-to-end, integrating AI-driven testing practices to improve test coverage and accuracy. The role requires managing AI-generated test validation, exploratory testing, and automation development to ensure high software quality, particularly for complex enterprise applications built on the Salesforce platform.

3. Responsibilities:

• Lead the adoption and continuous improvement of AI-first QA testing processes.
• Review and validate AI-generated test results for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct manual and exploratory testing focused on complex and high-risk areas.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Page Object Model design.
• Utilize AI development tools to enhance testing workflows and script generation.
• Train and guide team members in AI tool usage and updated QA practices.
• Integrate automated tests into test management systems ensuring traceability.
• Manage QA workflows in Jira including bug tracking and severity classification.
• Communicate quality status, risks, and AI adoption progress to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Customer Support on complex issue triage when necessary.

4. Requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in automation QA.
• Enthusiasm for AI-augmented QA workflows with hands-on AI tool experience.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to evaluate AI test outputs effectively.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright or comparable modern automation frameworks.
• Proven exploratory testing skills to identify defects beyond automated tests.
• Experience in test planning, risk assessment, and release readiness decision-making.
• Familiarity with Xray or similar test management tools integrated with Jira.
• Proficient in Jira for managing QA tasks and defect tracking.
• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement.
• Experience maintaining a shared QA codebase with solid code quality.
• Leadership capability to drive change and mentor team members.
