Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in building scalable applications and data processing solutions. The role focuses on core Python development, with exposure to enterprise systems. Experience in finance or banking environments is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable Python code
  • Build integrations with databases, APIs, and messaging systems
  • Support data processing and backend workflows
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable solutions
  • Follow coding standards, security, and best practices

Primary Skill (Mandatory)

  • Strong Python development experience (5+ years)

oCore Python concepts

oModular and object-oriented programming

oPerformance and error handling

Required Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Good understanding of SQL
  • Familiarity with version control tools (Git)

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Kafka integration or messaging systems
  • Starburst / Trino / Presto for distributed SQL querying
  • Oracle database integration
  • Experience with REST APIs and system integrations

Domain Experience (Plus)

  • Finance or Banking domain experience
  • Exposure to transactional or regulatory systems

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
