Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Engineer specializing in HVAC systems to join our dynamic team in Coimbatore. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of hands-on experience in managing and executing HVAC projects, with a strong preference for those who have worked on hospital and factory projects. A deep understanding and practical experience with VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) systems are essential for this role. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from design review and planning to execution, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

*Project Planning & Management:*
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for HVAC installations, specifically focusing on hospital and factory environments.
Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure alignment.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and clients.
*Technical Expertise & Design Review:*
Review HVAC designs, drawings, and specifications, providing expert input and suggesting optimizations for performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of VRF systems, including design, selection, installation, and troubleshooting.
Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASHRAE, ISHRAE, local building codes).
*Site Supervision & Execution:*
Oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning activities of HVAC systems.
Manage and supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is carried out safely and according to approved plans.
Resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the project execution phase.
*Material & Resource Management:*
Assist in the procurement of HVAC equipment, materials, and components, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Manage inventory and logistics for project materials.
Optimize resource allocation (manpower, equipment) to maximize efficiency.
*Documentation & Handover:*
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily reports, progress logs, change orders, and as-built drawings.
Facilitate project handover to clients, including final inspections, performance testing, and training on system operation and maintenance.
Ensure all project close-out procedures are completed effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in HVAC project execution and management.
*Mandatory:* Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with VRF systems.
*Preferred:* Proven experience in handling HVAC projects for hospitals and/or factory facilities.
Strong understanding of HVAC principles, equipment, and control systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Familiarity with project management software and tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Salary:* ₹40,000 to 50,000 per month (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)
