Job Description

Title: Senior Program Manager
Experience: 6-7 Years project management, public policy, or program implementation, preferably in the education or child development sectors.
Location: Vidarbha region Maharashtra

Mandatory Requirements: Fluency in Marathi, written and spoken Willingness to travel 40-60% Encourage female candidates to apply

Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Education, Management, Public Administration or a related field. A Master’s degree in any of these areas is preferred.

Overview: This position is a mid-senior level full-time position whose principal aim is to help enhance early childhood education in the state. The Senior Program Manager will report to the Program Lead and be responsible for recruiting, supervising, and developing 2-4 statewide program managers.

Key Responsibilities:
Senior Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain relationships with key officials from the District/Zilla Parishad and Women & Child Development department.
● Establish clear communication channels to update stakeholders on program progress, challenges, and policy execution in Early Childhood Education. ● Act as a liaison between government departments and the organization to align priorities and enhance collaboration.

Program Management
Oversee program implementation, ensuring timely execution and adherence to budget constraints.
● Identify challenges, analyze data, and refine strategies to enhance the impact of ECCE initiatives.
● Provide clear leadership in uncertain situations, guiding the team with clarity.

Policy Implementation & High-Quality Reporting
Align district-level activities with state policy priorities for effective program execution.
● Draft formal communications, including letters and high-quality reports, in Marathi & English as required.
● Prepare and submit regular reports on program progress, challenges, and outcomes to government stakeholders.
● Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and optimize program effectiveness.

Team Leadership
● Guide and support Program Managers and District Coordinators across districts.
● Conduct field visits to oversee team operations, assess challenges, and strengthen implementation.
● Foster collaboration to ensure smooth execution of program objectives.
