JOB DESCRIPTION

Role/Job Title: Senior Production Engineer – Core Banking (CBS)

Function/ Department: Information Technology

Location: Navi Mumbai – Airoli Processing Centre (Gigaplex Office)

Job Summary: The Senior Production Engineer will manage and support Core Banking applications, primarily TCS BaNCS, ensuring high availability and smooth operations in a 24x7 banking environment. The role involves close coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to resolve issues, manage releases, and improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide end-to-end production support for Core Banking applications, integrations, and mobile platforms.
Handle TCS BaNCS CBS with strong focus on Liabilities / Payments modules.
Deliver L1 & L2 support, including EOD/BOD operations.
Monitor production systems, manage alerts, and proactively resolve issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and escalate critical incidents.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external system providers.
Manage code migration, release management, and change management activities.
Prepare and maintain production support documentation and recovery procedures.
Support application implementation, deployment, upgrades, and testing (Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Performance, Penetration).
Ensure compliance with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Skills & Competencies

Strong Retail & Corporate Banking functional knowledge
Hands-on experience with TCS BaNCS or other Core Banking products
Mandatory expertise in CBS Liabilities / Payments Module
Technical skills: PL/SQL, COBOL, UNIX, Java
Knowledge of CI/CD and automation tools
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work in a 24x7 production support environment.

Education Qualification: Graduation: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) / Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) / Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) Post-Graduation: Master of Science (M.Sc) /Master of Technology (M.Tech) / Master of Computer Applications (MCA)
