An experienced Product Owner for Disputes, focusing on modernizing existing products/processes onto a new platform, ServiceNow FSO, leveraging modern domains and direct connectivity to acquirers and networks. Where existing processes are to be redesigned with lean process automation in mind and enhancements are unlocked by new real-time data availability and automation configurable I the FSO workflow. They will collaborate with other POs, Squads, Technology Leadership, Lines of Business (LoB), Risk, and Finance.

This role will require expertise in core banking principles. Disputes workflow, processes, regulations, and platforms. The PO will drive the squad’s deliverables by identifying and enabling the advancement of strategic initiatives against how they tactically plan for and execute that work. They are to be well versed in Agile principles, ceremonies, and best practices (SAFe, Scrum). They will use this in conjunction with Fifth Third processes and governance to foster a high performing team aligned to internal processes and governance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Motivate teams to deliver on strategy and roadmap for continuous product improvement.
  • Partner with business functions, IT, Risk, Finance, Operations, and other key partners to define and execute product strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for agreement and guidance, including Lines of Business, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Information Security, Fraud, Architecture, and related functions.
  • Provide transparency and ongoing communications with stakeholders.
  • Make decisions to drive key outcomes in support of regulatory and compliance needs, new revenue growth, process optimization, and analytics.
  • Be involved with all phases of development (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment)
  • Solve problems and make decisions with subject matter experts to drive the greatest outcome for the product and the Bank.
  • Engage with research teams for customer usability testing and concept validation.
  • Partner with third parties to cultivate relationships, understand product releases, remediate defects/outages, and ensure seamless experiences.
  • Maintain and provide product information for training and documentation.
  • Monitor industry trends and participate in industry forums and conferences.
  • Support a SAFe mindset across product teams, maintaining a healthy product backlog and participating in team ceremonies.
  • Evangelizes and communicates product capabilities and roadmap to internal groups as well as externally to clients.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None, indirect leadership of Squad and Stakeholders

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor''''s degree in a related field or equivalent education and work experience.
  • 4+ years of related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) desired.
  • Product management background preferred; ability to interact and influence within the organization.
  • Experience and understanding of non-relational & relational databases, Snowflake and DBT
  • Ability to consult and articulate key messages to all levels within the organization.
  • Basic business acumen and understanding of business processes related to products and customers.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe development a plus.
  • Ability to promote a work environment that fosters creative thinking and innovation.
  • Collaborative with strong intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving.
  • Good analytical skills with ability to present well-thought-out, simple solutions. Self-motivated and able to work independently and with different teams in a fast-paced environment.

Must Have:

  • Agile Experience: SAFe, Scrum, or Similar
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Ability to Collaborate Across Teams
  • Create and Present on Complex Topics Using Data and Evidence
  • Acts as True Owner - Taking Initiative, Acting Independently, Driving both Product Strategy and Tactical Delivery
  • Able to structure work for Agile delivery that is transparent to Stakeholders and Squad
  • Able to design timelines and execution strategies for initiatives and testing
  • Background in Lean/6Sigma to drive design decision and process optimization close

Nice to Have:

  • Industry Experience: Disputes or similar highly regulated customer facing workflows
  • Experience in Banking or other Financial Industries
  • Experience Digital. Ai, ServiceNow, and qTest
  • Basic understanding of real-time or even driven architectures
  • Basic understanding of workflow design and creation
  • Understanding of Acquirer and Card Network integrations and rules
