Senior Procurement Specialist / Buyer

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Specialist who will collaborate closely with functional leaders to plan and implement category management and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will build strong partnerships with business leaders to manage demand, current and future road maps, and vendor relationships. This person understands best-practice procurement methods and business processes, contributes to the negotiation of prices, terms, and quality requirements, and assists in the development of new supply sources.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing & Category Management

  • Validate Purchase Requisitions, then create and track Purchase Orders through the receipt process, ensuring accuracy and alignment at all points in the Procure-to-Pay cycle.
  • Manage contracts and license agreements to ensure obligations are met and that the process for renewal or replacement of existing agreements is managed and scalable.
  • Prepare RFQs and bid documents, analyze and evaluate proposals, and administer the end-to-end evaluation process.

Enterprise Software & ELA Negotiation

  • Lead and support the negotiation of SaaS, perpetual license, and subscription agreements with key software vendors, securing best-in-class commercial terms.
  • Manage enterprise license agreement (ELA) renewals, right-sizing exercises, and true-up cycles in close coordination with IT, Finance, and Legal.
  • Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) models to support software portfolio rationalization and make-vs.-buy decisions.
  • Partner with Legal to secure favorable contractual protections, including IP ownership, data privacy, SLAs, termination rights, and audit provisions.

Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM)

  • Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle for assigned categories: authoring, review, execution, obligation tracking, and renewal management.
  • Maintain the contract repository and ensure timely renewal visibility and supplier compliance across the global portfolio.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage procurement analytics tools to generate spend visibility dashboards, supplier scorecards, and savings tracking reports for senior leadership.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support category strategies, annual planning cycles, and business case development.
  • Actively explore and adopt AI-powered procurement tools to enhance sourcing efficiency, risk identification, contract analysis, and supplier intelligence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in a professional procurement function with a focus on indirect categories, particularly SaaS, enterprise software, IT services, and professional services.
  • Demonstrated history of negotiating and closing complex commercial agreements, including SaaS subscriptions and enterprise-wide ELAs.
  • Firsthand experience with eSourcing platforms; proficiency with Oracle and NetSuite or equivalent ERP/procurement systems.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including TCO analysis, contract risk assessment, and spend analytics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to operate effectively across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders and influence senior leadership in a global, matrixed organization.
