Senior Power BI Developer

Enablemining is a global mining consultancy headquartered in Australia. We specialise in strategy, mine planning, and technical evaluations for coal and metalliferous mines. We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Senior Power BI Developer to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the development of advanced data and analytics solutions that support critical business and operational decision-making across mining projects and corporate functions.

You will be responsible for designing scalable data architectures, building automated reporting systems, and developing high-impact dashboards for productivity, cost management, forecasting, and operational analytics. The role also involves working with large and complex datasets from multiple sources, transforming raw data into meaningful insights and actionable intelligence.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark, SQL, and Databricks
• Build and optimise automated ETL workflows for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and validation
• Integrate and manage data from Databricks, SQL databases, cloud platforms, and other enterprise systems
• Develop advanced and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX and best-practice modelling techniques
• Automate reporting and data delivery processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and reliability
• Use Python for advanced analytics, data processing, modelling, and automation tasks
• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, performance, and scalability across reporting solutions
• Work closely with internal teams and clients to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights
• Troubleshoot technical issues, enhance report usability, and continuously improve existing analytics solutions
• Contribute to the development of innovative digital and analytics capabilities within the business

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and enterprise reporting solutions
• Strong expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, Python, and Databricks
• Experience developing scalable data pipelines and working with large and complex datasets
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data modelling, and performance optimisation
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking capabilities
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Mining, resources, engineering, or heavy industry experience will be highly regarded
