Senior Performance Testing Engineer

Responsibilities Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives Review requirements and maintain documentation related to performance testing Produce high-level and detailed estimates using story points and time metrics Develop and document test strategies and plans based on system requirements Create and maintain test data sets for performance scenarios Develop, maintain, and improve test automation coverage Document and automate performance testing processes for systems under test Engage in project reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections Identify opportunities for improvement and promote best practices in testing ? Requirements Experience of 5 to 9 years in performance testing roles Background in agile development lifecycle and ceremonies Expertise in testing distributed application systems across multiple platforms including web interfaces and REST web services Proficiency in creating performance tests and scripts using JMeter Skills in Java programming for test automation and scripting Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and performance monitoring tools Capability to develop performance test automation and integrate with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins or Bamboo Understanding of monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Promethius, Grafana, and InfluxDB and their integration Knowledge of database monitoring and query optimization techniques Experience working with databases and tools such as Oracle, Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, and Flyway Competency in Unix shell scripting Experience with AWS cloud platform Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
