Senior Mobile Developer

Role Description

We're looking for a Senior Mobile Developer to own SparkJoy's mobile experience end-to-end across iOS and Android.

Mobile is where most of our readers live — they open SparkJoy on the bus, before bed, between classes. You'll lead our Flutter development, shape the mobile architecture, and tackle the kind of real-world problems that only show up when a product hits real users at scale: performance, stability, in-app purchases, deep linking. You'll set the technical bar for our mobile team and mentor the engineers learning from you. Full-time, on-site in Bangkok.

What You'll Do

• Lead our Flutter development across iOS and Android — you're the one driving the mobile platform forward.
• Shape the mobile architecture — design clean state management and patterns that scale as the team grows.
• Own the integrations that make the app feel alive: REST APIs, in-app purchases, push notifications, and deep linking.
• Make it fast, stable, and shippable — optimize app performance, crash rates, and release pipelines.
• Grow the team around you — review code and mentor junior mobile engineers; your standards become the team's standards.

What You'll Bring (Must-Haves)

• 5+ years of mobile development experience.
• Expert in Flutter and Dart — this is the core of the role.
• Apps published on both the App Store and Google Play — you know the full release pipeline, not just the code.
• Hands-on with a major state management library (Bloc, Riverpod, Provider, or similar).
• Real native iOS / Android knowledge for when Flutter's abstraction isn't enough and you need to debug below the surface.
• Experience shipping in-app purchases, push notifications, and deep linking in a production app.
• Proven code review and mentoring experience.
• Comfortable in English in a professional setting.

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Haves)

• You've built or scaled a high-traffic consumer app — extra bonus if it's content or media.
• Mobile CI/CD experience (Codemagic, Fastlane, GitHub Actions for mobile).
• Experience integrating other payment gateways beyond IAP.
• A degree in CS, Software Engineering, or a related IT field.
