Job Title:Senior MERN Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior MERN Developer with strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Postgres, MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience across the full SDLC, system design, performance optimization, API development, and mentoring engineers in production-grade environments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) and Postgres.

• Own backend architecture and build robust REST APIs with proper validation, error handling, and security practices.

* Build responsive, modular, and maintainable front-end applications using React with strong component architecture.

* Design database schemas, optimize queries and indexes, and ensure data integrity and performance in MongoDB and Postgres As well.

* Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT/OAuth, RBAC), and follow secure coding standards.

* Drive application performance improvements: API latency reduction, React rendering optimization, caching, and database tuning.

• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to translate requirements into high-quality deliverables.

• Set up and improve CI/CD pipelines, code quality gates, and automated testing practices.

* Write unit/integration tests (Jest, Mocha/Chai, React Testing Library/Cypress) and ensure strong coverage for critical paths.

* Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.

* Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and contribute to engineering standards and documentation.

* Work in an Agile environment and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

* 6+ years of overall software development experience, with 4+ years building production applications with the MERN stack.

* Strong proficiency in Node.js (Express/NestJS) and building scalable backend services and APIs.

* Strong proficiency in React.js (Hooks, state management, performance optimization, component architecture).

* Solid experience with MongoDB / Postgres data modeling, aggregation pipelines, indexing, and performance tuning.

* Experience with TypeScript in both frontend and backend

* Strong understanding of system design, scalable architectures, and common patterns (queues, caching, pagination, rate limiting).

* Experience with Docker and deployment environments (AWS)

* Familiarity with CI/CD observability (logging/monitoring), and production operations.

* Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.

* Experience integrating third-party APIs, payment gateways, or real-time systems (WebSockets) is a plus.
