Role Summary

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with proven experience in packaging machinery. The candidate must be capable of independently handling complete machine design from concept to manufacturing drawings and supporting execution until dispatch and FAT.

Technical Competencies Required

Motor power and torque calculation
Gearbox selection and speed calculation
Shaft design and structural strength analysis
Bearing selection and power transmission components
BOM preparation and cost optimization
SolidWorks modeling proficiency

Key Responsibilities

Concept to detailed design of packaging machinery
Preparation of manufacturing drawings and BOM
Design modifications during assembly and FAT
Cost reduction and design optimization initiatives

The candidate must know below calculations -

Pneumatic cylinder sizing
Cam mechanism selection
Lead screw vs belt drive selection
Chain vs timing belt selection
Indexing mechanism selection
Bearing selection (radial & axial load consideration)
Coupling selection
Pulley sizing
Sprocket sizing
Key & keyway strength consideration
