Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical designs for wastewater and sewage treatment plants (WWTP/STP).
- Perform equipment sizing and selection for pumps, blowers, mixers, aerators, screens, and sludge handling equipment.
- Prepare technical specifications, datasheets, and mechanical calculations.
- Review vendor drawings and technical submissions.
- Prepare and review P&IDs, GA drawings, and mechanical layouts.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and process engineering teams.
- Support procurement team in technical evaluation of vendors.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and troubleshooting activities when required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- 8–12+ years of experience in water/wastewater treatment plant design.
- Experience in STP, ETP, ZLD, and WTP projects is preferred.
