About The Function

The Marketing function at MakeMyTrip is responsible for driving demand, strengthening brand equity, and building long-term customer relationships across all lines of business. It brings together brand, performance, partnerships, and product marketing to ensure that every customer interaction with MakeMyTrip is consistent, compelling, and conversion-led across channels and journeys.

Within Marketing function, the Content & Creative department at MakeMyTrip is responsible for shaping the brand’s voice across all consumer-facing touchpoints. The team drives high-impact storytelling, social content thinking, and marketing communication that simplifies complex travel offerings while building strong brand affinity and recall.

Working closely with Marketing, Product, Category, Supply, and Business teams, the function translates business objectives into insight-led, compelling social campaigns. The scope includes integrated brand campaigns, social-first ideas, product launch branding, and seasonal marketing moments—creating brand narratives that originate on social and scale seamlessly across platforms.

About The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will lead end-to-end campaign thinking with a strong social-first lens, creating ideas that scale seamlessly across platforms and touchpoints. The role requires a strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, consumer behaviour, and evolving trends, and the ability to convert these into compelling, effective creative ideas.

You will lead ideation, guide execution, and ensure that all communication aligns with brand strategy, business goals, and audience insights. The role demands a balance of strategic thinking, creative excellence, and hands-on leadership.

What will you be doing

  • Translating marketing objectives, consumer insights, and category trends into strong, insight-led social creative.
  • Partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Category, Supply, and Business teams to understand goals and deliver high-impact social calendars across MakeMyTrip brands, aligned to approved brand tonality and commercial priorities.
  • Owning content end-to-end, from brief to execution, ensuring clarity, quality, and effectiveness at every stage.
  • Driving integrated thinking across social-first content, CLM campaigns, in-app funnels, and moment-led marketing.
  • Acting as a creative custodian of the brand, ensuring consistency in tone, storytelling, visual language, and messaging across all social touchpoints.
  • Guiding and mentoring writers and creative team members, elevating the overall quality of thinking and output.
  • Working closely with design, video, media, and external agencies to deliver high-quality, on-brand creative — often involving execution-heavy, high-volume tactical outputs.
  • Staying ahead of marketing, social, and cultural trends, proactively applying relevant insights to campaign and content thinking.
  • Balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement, especially during key campaigns and brand moments.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Mass Communication, Advertising, or a related field, with strong written and communication skills.
  • 14–18 years of experience working in content-led roles with a reputed advertising agency or young, digital-first brands.
  • Strong background in marketing communications and campaign thinking, with at least 7–8 years of social media execution.
