Crossing Hurdles is a global recruitment consultancy partnering with a fast-growing fintech start up focused on empowering India’s self-employed and gig workers through daily digital savings and investment tools. Position: Frontend Lead – Fintech Lending Type: Full-time Compensation: Competitive Location: Gurgaon (On-site) Experience: 6+years Role Responsibilities: Lead frontend engineering strategy, architecture and execution. Build and scale lending-based consumer product interfaces with high reliability, low latency, and strong performance benchmarks. Mentor frontend engineers, conduct code reviews, and drive engineering excellence across the team. Translate product requirements and UX design into clean, responsive, high-conversion user interfaces. Integrate backend systems, APIs, credit/risk engines and ensure secure data handling practices. Implement best practices for caching, asynchronous operations, error handling, and observability. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, backend, design and leadership teams to ensure timely delivery and technical alignment. Own code quality, deployment readiness, system scalability and long-term technical decisions. Ideal Qualifications: 6+ years of frontend development experience with strong leadership and people management exposure. Mandatory experience in loan lending, NBFC-backed credit platforms or consumer-facing fintech products. Proven experience in building and scaling high-volume consumer applications. Deep proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React, React Native, TypeScript, Redux or equivalent. Strong understanding of web performance optimisation, component architecture, caching, security practices and modular code design. Experience working with REST APIs/GraphQL, authentication layers, session management and state management at scale. Ability to drive technical decisions independently while maintaining architectural integrity and maintainability. Experience working in fast-paced, product-driven startup environments. Preferable experience or familiarity with Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift) development. Exposure to financial services, credit scoring, payments, BNPL, personal loan distribution or similar digital ecosystems.
