About The Job Join our AI-accelerated engineering team building real-time, high-throughput systems that power global hotel search, pricing, and inventory platforms. As a Senior Backend Engineer , you?ll design scalable microservices, leverage modern AI tools for faster development, and contribute to a highly available distributed architecture that supports billions of requests monthly. This is a remote-first role where autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous learning are deeply valued. Key Responsibilities Design & Scale: Build low-latency, high-throughput microservices for real-time search, pricing, and inventory systems. End-to-End Ownership: Lead modules from design to deployment, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability. Innovate with AI: Use next-gen AI tools (Claude, Cursor, LangChain) and LLMs to accelerate development and automation. Optimize Performance: Build fault-tolerant, event-driven architectures for resilient backend systems. Collaborate & Review: Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline enhancements. Monitor & Tune: Use Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to maintain sub-50 ms latency and 99.99% uptime. What You?ll Bring 6+ years of hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. Strong experience with NoSQL (MongoDB/ScyllaDB) and SQL (MySQL) databases. Expertise in distributed systems and event-driven architectures using SQS or Kinesis. Strong understanding of fault tolerance, backpressure, and data consistency models. Familiarity with GraphQL, AWS ECS, and Lambda. Exposure to observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch. A clean-coder mindset ? emphasize testability, documentation, and automation.
