Senior Java Developer (Apache Ecosystem) at BairesDev We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with expertise in Apache project contribution, open source development, distributed systems, and performance optimization in big data context. The technology stack includes popular open source Apache projects - Iceberg, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Ozone, Hadoop, Trino, and related ecosystem tools. Thus, there is ample scope for collaboration and contribution to open source. The ideal candidate will develop and optimize high-performance distributed systems, contribute as a core contributor to Apache projects, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver innovative big data solutions. What You'll Do: - Contribute actively as a core contributor to Apache open source projects (Iceberg, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Ozone, Hadoop, Trino). - Develop and optimize Java-based distributed systems for large-scale data processing. - Implement performance optimization techniques in big data contexts and environments. - Build and enhance open source development frameworks for Apache ecosystem projects. - Design scalable distributed architectures using Java for high-throughput data processing. - Collaborate with engineering teams on system integration and deployment. What we are looking for: - 10+ years of experience in software development with strong Java expertise. - Strong expertise in open source development methodologies and community collaboration. - Deep understanding of distributed systems architecture and design patterns. - Proficiency in performance optimization techniques for big data applications. - Core contributions to Apache open source projects (Iceberg, Kafka, Spark, Hive, Ozone, Hadoop, Trino). - Advanced level of English.
