Saarthee is based out of Philadelphia, USA with office in UK and India Position Summary: We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Engineer with solid experience in the Payments Domain to design, develop, and scale backend services. This role will focus on building distributed, high-volume systems while ensuring service reliability, scalability, and quality. The developer will actively contribute to coding, debugging, and performance optimization, while also mentoring junior engineers and improving driving systems. Your Role Responsibilities and Duties: Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS. Participate in solution design discussions and contribute to implementation. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Debug issues and provide fixes for live services. Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. Suggest improvements to system performance and reliability. Required Skills and Qualifications: Mandatory : 6-10 years of backend development experience. Strong expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, AWS. Solid experience with distributed, high-volume systems. Working knowledge of RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra). Good Debugging and Problem Solving skills Exposure to CI/CD (Jenkins) and caching technologies is desirable.
