Senior Fullstack Engineer

Overview

CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. You may choose to work from home in Mumbai; however, you will be required to travel to our Andheri East office once a week for business requirements, meetings, or company/team events, or on short notice as needed.

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer with experience to build scalable, high‑performance web applications. This role requires strong hands‑on development skills across frontend and backend technologies, with the ability to leverage AI agents and developer copilots to deliver faster, higher‑quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a problem solver who combines solid engineering fundamentals with modern, AI‑augmented development practices.

Please note this is a hybrid role and open to candidates based in Mumbai only.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end web applications using:
• Backend technologies such as Node.js / PHP (Laravel) / Java / Python
• Frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and manage application state across frontend and backend
• Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and optimize queries and data models
• Use AI agents and AI coding assistants (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, custom agents) to:
• Accelerate feature development
• Improve code quality and test coverage
• Automate repetitive engineering workflows
• Write clean, secure, well‑tested, and maintainable code following best practices
• Debug complex issues and optimize performance across the stack
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision‑making
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver features end‑to‑end
• Use Git for version control and collaborate via pull requests
• Support deployment and runtime workflows using cloud environments and containers where applicable
  
  

Qualifications And Prerequisites

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
• Experience building backend services with Node.js, PHP/Laravel, Java/Python
• Solid understanding of web architecture, APIs, authentication, Agila/Scrum development and security basics
• Working knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), Git, branching strategies, and collaborative development
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and Docker is a plus
• Experience using AI coding tools or AI agents to improve development velocity is strongly preferred
• Strong problem‑solving skills, ownership mindset, and clear communication ability

For this role, 2 technical rounds of interview followed by HR round.
