Company Description: Boson Motors is a Silicon Valley based startup focusing on farm automation. We are working on solving farming/agriculture automation challenges with our electric vehicles and computer vision. Role Description : Requirements and Qualifications: > Experience: 10+ years (Relevant industries: Automotive, Electric Vehicles, or Industrial Embedded Systems) > Excellent skill in embedded C development. > Strong debugging skills with lab equipment. > Working experience with micro-controller programming. > Working experience with version control tool (git, SVN etc) > Familiarity with communication protocols: CAN, SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet etc. Good to have: > Working experience with RTOS > 3+ year in Automotive/EV preferred. > Communication protocols: UDS (ISO 14229), CANopen > Domain knowledge: EV powertrains, functional safety (ASIL),? Role and responsibilities: > ECU software development, design, testing, debugging and documentation in all phases of Product development. > Specify, design, and implement functionality and behaviors of embedded subsystems. > Deliver high-quality C code for a real time embedded environment. > Design the software architecture and implement firmware on hardware through integration and testing. > Hands-on hardware bring-up, system debugging and code optimization > Writing unit and component level tests to ensure proper functionality > Make performance and optimization trade-offs to meet product requirements > Guide and train Jr. engineers to deliver high quality firmware to production environment.
